A Brief Introduction of the Medical Center:
In Pakistan there is an extreme dearth of universal health care system to meet the needs of poor women and children. Members of the ladies club rose to the occasion and started a free clinic/dispensary for the out patients only run by volunteer doctors and paid lady health visitors. This free medical clinic is running successfully since 10/9/1997.
Due to increase in population and poverty levels the health care has deteriorated. There is a dire need to improve health care for deprived members of the community. The objective of the ladies club medical cell is to help alleviate the sufferings of as many people as possible. So the expansion of the Medical cell was the need of the hour.
A committee was formed and the work on the new project was started on 1/3/2005 and completed on 1/17/2007. The OPD is partially working as the next phase of the building is under construction which hampers the running of the Medical center to its fullest.
