Help Gaza, Let Gazans breath campaign

During a recent visit to Egypt, HCI Canada executive director, Kaleem Akhtar and HCI – Middle East office Director, Rabih Yazbeck, met with its Gaza partner, Aid & Hope program and lengthy discussions with Eman Shanan about HCI’s work in Gaza and future plans for more aid for Gazans.
Gaza has recently been the focus of international attention after the incident with Flotilla in which several humanitarian aid workers and peace activists who attempted to enter this area to deliver much needed medical and housing supplies lost their lives.
HCI has decided to extend its support to Gazans in this time of hardships facing them. We raised funds and mobilized our workers and volunteer core on the ground to deliver direly needed food supplies in the rare window of opportunity made available through Gaza’s Rafah border opening.
Food items from inside Egypt were procured and sent to Gaza. These arrangements were made by Rabih with Eman and another member of organization, Dr. Reem Moussa, who had also come from Gaza for this purpose, as well as Rabea Hajaj from the HCI – Middle East Office. This food aid package covered 1,000 food-insecure households who were identified as recipients of the supplies.
Initially, an amount of $100,000 was channeled. However, our target is to raise an amount of half a million dollars for this cause. Your financial support to this vital project will be highly appreciated.
Please Generously Donate for the cause.
