A recent UN report reveals 10 million Yemenis are ‘one step away from famine’. Currently in their fifth year of conflict which has displaced, killed, and crippled an entire generation of peoples, the struggle for survival is all that remains.
Political unrest has resulted in the literal starvation of millions, with children suffering the most at the hands of adults entrusted to care and provide for them. Whilst the political situation is out of our control, we must play our part in providing access to means which counteract growing food insecurity on the grounds.
As part of our Yemen Famine Relief, HCI’s Bakery Project aids Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), as well as vulnerable and affected communities in the city.
The project provides appropriately 1,200 beneficiaries with 4,000 loaves of bread for free on a daily basis, fulfilling a desperate need for so many families.
The world already produces more than 1 ½ times enough food to feed every single person on the planet, we don’t think twice about throwing leftovers into the bin, yet human beings just like you and I, children, babies, are dying from hunger.
This is not the world we want to create.
100% of your donations will be sent directly to the bakery project on the ground in Yemen. Help save a life today.
