Hurricane Dorian has created catastrophic damage in the Bahamas. The Bahamas government has revealed that approximately 70% of the homes are underwater, and there is “tremendous social and economic dislocation and disruption.”
Hubert Minnis, the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, has called for an urgent coordinated effort to respond to the crisis, as more than 60,000 people are in need of shelter, food, water, and basic necessities.
HCI is on the ground working hand in hand with local NGO’s, and we will shortly begin the distribution of our Emergency Relief Kits, consisting of food, water, and hygiene items.
One kit costs $200. Please contribute to our Bahamas Flood Relief Fund, and let’s work together to help those in need.
