HCI urges its donors to continue their help in the provision of basic necessities for children, elderly, and families both inside the country and to those that fled to neighbouring Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey (and other countries.)
The numbers are staggering. To date, 9.3 million Syrians need immediate assistance in the form of food, shelter, clothing, water and health care. 6.5 million are internally displaced. Some 2.8 million are refugees.
Since the beginning of unrest, HCI has channeled $6 million in emergency response, funding a number of initiatives such as education for refugee children in Turkey; provision of winter clothing for children inside Syria and refugee families in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey; and, the children amputee project (read Diyaa's story here.)
The needs are grave. Please support HCI's emergency relief projects in and outside of Syria by donating below or texting POSSIBLE to 20222 to make a $5 donation.
